Two West Rome men and a Garden Lakes man have been charged in an assault and attempted robbery on Burnett Ferry Road.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

21-year-old Edgardo Funez-Larios, 17-year-old Orlando Emilio Hernandez, and 17-year-old Cesar Steven Portillo-Rivas entered the residence armed with a gun and attempted to take the victim’s French bulldog.

The victim was then beaten about the head with the firearm.

All three are charged with robbery, aggravated assault, and battery.

Portillo-Rivas is additionally charged with obstruction after running from law enforcement.
