The results of Tuesday’s runoff election for Floyd County Commission will be certified Friday when the Floyd County Board of Elections holds a called meeting.
The board will review any provisional ballots and then recess before returning to certify the results.
David Thornton defeated Chip Hood to win election to the Post 4 County Commission seat vacated by the death of Larry Maxey in November.
Friday’s elections board meeting will begin at 5:45 p.m. at the elections office on East 12TH Street.
The caucus will start at 5:15.
