Second man charged with terroristic threats and acts
A second arrest has been made regarding threatening text messages sent to a man on April 3.
According to an arrest warrant
21-year old Ashton Skyler Swearinger sent multiple messages threatening to cut the man’s throat from ear to ear.
He also threatened to jump the victim when he left the Floyd County Courthouse.
Swearinger is charged with terroristic threats and acts.
25-year Justin Drew Crossan was arrested late last week in connection with the same incident.
Woman charged with financial transaction card fraud
A Rome woman was jailed over the weekend on a felony count of financial transaction card fraud.
According to the arrest warrant:
38-year old Janet Latoya Weeks transferred money from the victim’s online banking account to her own account without permission.
