Floyd County Police Department continues its legacy of service to the community.

Officers of the Floyd County Police Department recently volunteered their time and efforts to help a citizen in need with our latest “Floyd County Works” project.

As a result of a call for service, one of our officers identified an individual in serious need of help with their home and property.

With the help of our community partners United Rentals, Mulkey Dumpster Rental, Floyd County Prison, and Floyd County Public Works, we were able to make a significant improvement to a family’s living situation here in Floyd County.

This effort is the latest of several projects that we have taken on in recent years.

These projects began some years ago when our officers encountered an elderly woman living alone who had several fallen trees in her yard and across her driveway and no means of having them removed.

Since that time we have come into contact with several individuals experiencing issues with their homes or property, and no available means of solving their problem, that we have been able to help.
