The Sexual Assault Center of Northwest Georgia and the Harbor House Child Advocacy Center hosted the 5th annual Walk to Support Survivors Friday afternoon in Downtown Rome.

Both organizations collaborated in an effort to raise awareness for Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Child Abuse Prevention Month.

The community was invited to join the annual walk, which began in front of the Rome City Auditorium.

Participants held signs marching down Broad Street to support child abuse victims, sexual assault survivors, and the families in Rome and Floyd County who have been impacted by abuse.
