Man accused of using stolen credit cards while accompanying a minor
A West Rome man was jailed Tuesday on multiple counts of financial transaction card fraud and a single count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
39-year old Lee Roger Salter either used or accompanied a teenager who used stolen credit cards to make 10 purchases at eight different locations.
The purchases totaled $958.19.
Woman accused of renting vehicle and then failing to return it
A 30-year-old Kingston woman has been arrested on a felony count of theft by conversion.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Brittany Michele Mann rented a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica from Enterprise Rent-A-Car on Shorter Avenue in October of last year and never returned it.
The vehicle is valued at $38,000.
Mann is also charged with speeding and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
South Carolina man charged with auto theft
A Man from Moore, South Carolina, was booked into the Floyd County Jail on Tuesday on a felony warrant charging him with theft by taking a motor vehicle.
According to the warrant:
44-year-old Ricky Lynn Stewart Jr. took a 2001 Chevy Impala, valued at $2,000, from a convenience store on Martha Berry Boulevard in August of 2023.
The vehicle was later recovered in Douglas County.
Woman charged with auto theft
A Coosa woman is accused of stealing an automobile.
According to an arrest warrant:
36-year-old Jessica Lane Wright took the vehicle, valued at over $2,000, from a location on Huffaker Road.
She is charged with theft by taking a motor vehicle.
Report: Woman found with mushrooms, marijuana
A Rome woman was arrested at a location on High Bluff Road on drug charges on Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
39-year old Jessica Anne Schmidt Gordet had a zip lock bag inside her purse that contained two mushrooms and a baggie containing a small amount of marijuana.
Gordet is also accused of yelling and using profane language after being handcuffed.
