Man accused of threatening three people at a convenience store

A Silver Creek man was arrested Monday following an incident at a convenience store at 4466 Rockmart Road.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

26-year old Jehmiah Anthony Mitchell threatened to kill three people after refusing to leave the business.

He also tried to get one of the victims to come outside.

Mitchell is charged with three felony counts of terroristic threats and acts and a single count of disorderly conduct.

Man charged with theft by deception

A Tunnel Hill man was booked into the Floyd County Jail Monday on a felony warrant charging him with theft by conversion.

According to the warrant:

53-year old William Shon Blair obtained $15,600 from a Rome man for the purpose of buying materials for work on the victim’s residence in October of 2024.

Blair stopped contacting the victim after he got the money, failing to buy the materials or perform any work.
