Warrant: Man possessed sexual images of children
A Rome man was arrested Wednesday at his Locust Street home on three felony counts of sexual exploitation of children.
According to the arrest warrants:
25-year old Dawson Lee Bragg possessed an image of an infant and videos of children being sexually abused.
He also deleted a social media app on his cell phone to avoid detection of the material by law enforcement.
Bragg is also charged with a felony count of tampering with evidence.
Man charged in storage unit burglaries
A West Rome man has been charged in the burglary of storage units on Huffaker Road that occurred back on February 16.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
32-year old Devon Franklin Jones Jr. used bolt cutters to enter 14 units and steal multiple items.
Jones is charged with 14 counts of 2nd-degree burglary, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, and criminal trespass (damage to property).
Alleged gang member accused of stealing lost gun
A 20-year-old West Rome man was booked into the Floyd County Jail on Thursday on felony warrants charging him with participation in criminal street gang activity and theft of lost or mislaid property.
According to the warrants:
During the execution of a search warrant on Trove Drive on February 11, Brandon Charles Griffin was found with a pistol that had been reported as lost.
Griffin is a purported member of the Kutthroat street gang.
Report: Woman kicked police officer
A West Rome woman is facing charges following a domestic altercation at her Blankenship Place residence on Wednesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
25-year old Ajah Charisse Mosely grabbed another woman, leaving bruises on the victim’s arm.
She also slapped the victim and destroyed property in the home.
Mosely then resisted arrest, kicking one of the officers.
She is charged with battery, simple battery, criminal trespass (damage to property), four counts of misdemeanor obstruction of officers, and one count of felony obstruction.
