Report: Man pointed AR rifle at two people

A Silver Creek man is facing charges after allegedly aiming an AR-556 rifle at two people at his Rockmart Road home.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

46-year old Barry Lee Bradley is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Warrant: Man threw furniture at officer

A Dalton man was booked into the Floyd County Jail on Tuesday on a felony warrant charging him with aggravated assault against a law enforcement officer.

According to the warrant:

43-year old Jeffrey Shawn McNabb threw a two-door, wooden dresser at an officer back on February 27.

The incident occurred at a motel room on Shorter Avenue.

The dresser weighed between 30 and 40 pounds.

Man accused of sending threatening text messages

A 35-year-old Rome man has been arrested on a felony count of terroristic threats and acts.

According to an arrest warrant:

Tyrone Lewis Strickland Jr. sent threatening text messages to a woman, stating he would slap her and writing, “You’ll die.”

The incident occurred in late February.
