All Rome City Schools will be open on Thursday, Feb. 20.

The school system will continue to monitor the weather and send out any updates if conditions change.

With cold temperatures expected for the next few days, the priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of staff and students during their travels to school through the RCS Keeping Schools Safe Initiative.

To help protect them from the cold conditions, we encourage all staff and students to be prepared for the cold weather by:

– Dressing warmly by wearing layers, hats, gloves, and scarves
– Minimizing time spent outdoors
– Bringing any necessary supplies such as hand warmers or extra layers to stay warm outside
