Newly elected Floyd County Commissioner Mike Burnes will be sworn in on Monday.

The ceremony will take place at 1 pm in the Probate Court Room located on the second floor of the Floyd County Judicial Center. 

Current Commissioner Allison Watters will also be sworn in for her new term as well.

The commission will be operating with only four board members for the part of 2025.

A special election will be held in March to fill the unexpired term of Larry Maxey, who passed away in November.
