Holiday events galore this weekend in Rome and Floyd County

There are plenty of holiday activities this weekend in Rome and Floyd County to enjoy.

The 11th Annual Christmas in Lindale is Saturday from 1-5 pm at the Gilbreath Park.

The parade will follow the festival at 5:30 p.m. 

The lineup starts at 5 at Pepperell Primary School.

The parade is free for anyone to join.

Playtime with Santa is Saturday at Ridgeferry Park

The day kicks off with a Candy Cane Hunt starting at noon, where children can pick up as many candy canes as they can.

Following the hunt, Playtime with Santa will commence, providing kids the chance to engage in fun activities and take memorable photos with Santa and Rome’s mascots.

Don’t forget, the first 600 children ages 12 and under will receive a basketball, soccer ball, or football—one ball per child.

The annual Winter Art Market will take place on Jackson Hill this Saturday and Sunday.

Discover one-of-a-kind, handcrafted treasures perfect for everyone on your list, from unique art pieces to handmade jewelry, pottery, and cozy winter finds.

The hours are 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day.

Parking and admission is free.

The Rome Area Heritage Foundation and MSP Attorneys will host the fifth annual #ThisPlaceMatters Historic Home Tour on Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the College Heights Historic District.

This year’s tour will feature five residences showcasing a wide range of architecture and design; all adorned in their holiday best.

Home tour tickets are available online for $35 each and include a 2025 membership to the Rome Area Heritage Foundation.

Oak Hill & The Martha Berry Museum will host their annual Victorian Christmas tours Friday and Saturday as well as next weekend from 4 until 8 p.m. each night.

The historic home will be adorned with holiday greenery and period-accurate decor, transporting guests to the era. Specialty-guided tours of the 1880s mansion will explore how Christmas became a widespread celebration in the United States

The City of Rome is hosting a FREE movie marathon of festive favorites on Saturday.

Classic holiday movies will be shown all day long at the Rome City Auditorium.

Dress as your favorite holiday movie character, or festive holiday attire, because there are door prizes up for grabs at every screening for everyone who dresses festively.

Concessions will be for sale and benefit ARF – Animal Rescue Foundation.

In Cave Spring, the annual Small Town Christmas in the County arts and crafts festival offers holiday shopping and treats from local artisans.

It is Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The Christmas Parade is Saturday evening in downtown Cave Spring.
