Three arrested on Wade Street
Three people were arrested after Rome-Floyd Metro Task Force officers found methamphetamine during the execution of a search warrant at a home on Wade Street Monday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
37-year-old Jessica Nicole Barton, 51-year-old Darrell Lynn Holder, and 38-year-old Brandon Gregory Vonbehren are all charged with possession of meth.
VonBehren is additionally charged with possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and three probation violations.
Barton was also found with tramadol pills that were not prescribed to her and is charged with possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drugs not in the original container.
Prison inmate facing charges
An inmate is accused of trying to smuggle contraband into the Floyd County Prison on November 21.
According to the arrest warrant:
30-year-old Shaquille Dewayne Bibb of Montgomery, Alabama conspired with a man on the outside over the prison phone system to deliver marijuana to a designated spot for pickup.
The other man, 33-year-old Devon Fitzgerald Hardy, also of Montgomery, was arrested during a traffic stop in which more than a pound of marijuana was seized.
Bibb is charged with conspiracy to commit a felony, possession of items prohibited for inmates, felony possession of marijuana, and use of a communications facility to commit a felony.
Man accused of locking child out of house
An Armuchee man was arrested at his Hatfield Road home Monday on a 2nd-degree child cruelty charge.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
68-year-old Brian Lester Conway locked a 3-year-old child outside in 30-degree weather for about 45 minutes.
