The sights and sounds of Christmas will fill Downtown Rome on Tuesday night, and it’s going to feel like Christmas too.
The Rome Christmas Parade will begin at 7 p.m., making its way from First Avenue up Broad Street to the Rome City Auditorium where Santa will light the city Christmas tree.
The theme is “A Christmas Carol” and Jeff and Mary Margaret Mauer are the grand marshals.
Officials will begin to close the roads around the parade route at 6 p.m.
It will be cold with temperatures dropping into the 30s, so bundle up.
There are 130 entrants this year.
