Man charged in assault in Cartersville

-Cartersville Police Department Report-

A 57-year-old man was arrested for aggravated assault and other charges following an incident Sunday on Davis Street in Cartersville.

According to a Cartersville Police report:

Officers responded to a home on Davis Street after Keith Bradley Turner strangled, beat, and threatened to kill another man.

The victim stated as he was trying to leave, Turner Threw picture frames and other items at him.

Turner also struck the victim’s dog in the head with a walking stick.

When police arrived, they found Turner nude, lying face down on a bed and crying.

He then exited the bedroom in an aggressive manner and when he clinched his fist and stepped toward an officer, he was tased and eventually taken into custody.
