Rome woman threatens residents, residents tell her to get out

A Rome woman is behind bars after entering a residence and threating the occupant. 
 
According to the Rome Police, 39-year old Rashena Shaunte Glanton entered a residence on Gordon Avenue where she threatened the resident by stating she had a gun in her purse and would use it. 
 
The resident then reportedly told Glanton to get out of the house. 
 
Glanton was charged with simple assault and terroristic threats.  
 
 
 
Silver Creek man behind bars after a domestic incident

A Silver Creek man is in jail for a list of charges including Simple battery FVA and Obstruction of officers. 
 
According to the Floyd County Police, 26-year old Jacob Hammett intentionally made physical contact to the victim while a child was in the room. 
 
Hammett then reportedly started kicking a bedroom door opening it and threw a can of soup at a mirror causing it to break. 
 
When police arrived it was reported that he failed to comply with officers when asked to put a can of beer down. 
 
Hammett is facing charges of Simple Battery, FVA, 3rd-degree Cruelty to children, Criminal trespass, and obstructing or hindering Law enforcement.   
 
 
 
Man threatens medical technicians lands in jail

A Homeless man was arrested Tuesday afternoon at a location on Turner McCall Boulevard after reportedly making terroristic threats. 
 
According to Rome police 61-year old Ephron Ezekial Nelson threatened emergency medical personnel stating “I will kill you M__ F___” while holding a pair of scissors. 
 
Nelson is facing charges of Aggravated assault, Terroristic Threats and Acts, Obstruction of Emergency Medical Technicians and disorderly conduct. 
 
 
 
Man enters residence, arrested for Criminal Trespass

A 62-year old Rockmart man is facing several charges including criminal trespass after entering a residence without permission. 
 
According to the Floyd County police, Russell Lee Owens entered a residence causing alarm and placing the residents in fear for their well being. 
 
Owens was also reported to have a reported stolen vehicle in his possession with the tag concealed to hide the identity. 
 
Owens has been charged with Criminal trespass, loitering or prowling, Theft by receiving stolen property, Buy, sell or receive motor vehicle with altered tag, and driving while unlicensed.
