FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A 19-year old Rome woman was jailed Wednesday on a felony warrant, accusing her of giving false information to police who were investigating a stabbing incident on September 3.

According to the warrant, Meagan Breely Drought of a Lyons Drive address stated that she only knew the suspect from an altercation at school.

It was later discovered that she was an ex-girlfriend of the suspect.
The suspect, Brinnon Daniel Bannister of a Burnett Ferry Road address stabbed the male victim in the stomach at a residence on Garden Avenue in Lindale and then fled the scene.

Police say that Drought’s fraudulent statements of now knowing the suspect slowed the apprehension of the suspect and concealed her as a party to the incident.

Drought is also charged with misdemeanor stalking for allegedly placing her ex-boyfriend and his girlfriend under surveillance and then following them to the Garden Avenue location with the intention of causing an altercation.
