Rome Man Beats Victim

A Rome man is facing an aggravated Assault and battery charge after reportedly causing bodily harm to the victim. 
 
According to Floyd County Jail Records, 38-year-old Hassan Shareef Rashad of a Dodd Blvd address reportedly caused enough harm to the victim‘s body to render them useless. 
 
Rashad is charged with Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Battery as well as driving while license is suspended or revoked. 
 
 
Cruelty to Children Charges Land Man in Jail

FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS 
 
A 32- year old Rome man is facing a couple cruelty to children charges that reportedly happened back in February of this year. 
 
According to Floyd County Jail Records, Joshua Charles Lipham of a Shorter Ave address reportedly caused bodily harm to the victim while they were holding an 8-week old child.
 
It was reported that 2 other minor children witnessed the altercation take place. Lipham also reportedly would not let the victim place a call to E-911. 
 
Lipham is charged with Hindering a 911 call, false imprisonment, 2 counts of 2nd degree cruelty to children, Reckless conduct, and family violence. 
 
 
Man Attempts Escape While in Custody

FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS 
 
A Rome Man is facing multiple charges including obstruction and escape. 
 
According to Rome Police, 28-year old Tenorris Edward Wright of a Hull Ave address reportedly was found operating a vehicle on a suspended license. 
 
It was observed that Wright had a gun in his possession that had been reported stolen. A bottle of alcohol with a broken seal was also found in the vehicle. 
 
When stopped it was reported that Wright attempted to obstruct officers and attempted to escape while in custody. 
 
Wright is charged with theft by receiving stolen property, 2 counts of escape, driving on a suspended license, open container, and 2 counts of obstruction.
