Multiple Drugs found in Car after A Traffic Stop

A Gordon County woman was jailed after Adairsville Police found approximately 45 grams of methamphetamine during a traffic stop.

According to Adairsville Police, an officer observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of the QT on Hwy 140 at around 3:40 a.m. Thursday.

The officer stopped the Nissan Altima as it was turning onto the I-75 entrance ramp after a check of the tag revealed no valid insurance coverage.

A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up the methamphetamine, as well as Clonazepam and a quantity of marijuana. 

A passenger in the vehicle, 36-year old Lacresha Renee Scott of Calhoun was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of drug-related objects and possession of a counterfeit substance.

Another passenger, 29-year old Brittany Nicole Morrison of Resaca, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of pills, not in the original container.

The driver, 25-year old Troy Cullen Bryant of Calhoun was charged with driving while unlicensed and no insurance.
